CAA moves tournament to Baltimore

The Colonial Athletic Association, home to Hofstra’s athletic program, announced a three-year agreement to hold its men’s basketball tournament at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore starting in 2014.

The tournament has been held at Richmond Coliseum since 1990. 1st Mariner Arena seats 11,800. It was the site for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament in 1995. 

The CAA recently added College of Charleston. It will begin competing in in the 2013-14 season. Other members include Deleware, Drexel, George Mason, James Madison, UNC Wilmington, Northeastern, Towson and William & Mary.
