Metro Hoops Poll: SBU 1, SJU 3rd

After a 2-0 start to the season, Stony Brook begins the season as the top season in the Newsday Metro Hoops Poll. Manhattan, after an impressive double overtime win over La Salle, checks in at No. 2, while St. John’s sits at 0-3 despite a loss to Wisconsin to opens its season. St. Francis starts the season at No. 5 after an impressive 66-62 OT win over Miami, while LIU-Brooklyn takes the fifth spot after topping St. Peter’s in the 2K Sports Classic at the Barclays Center. Seton Hall, Fordham, Iona, Fairfield and FDU round out the top 10.
