Hofstra to host Midnight Madness

There will be a party-like atmosphere on Thursday night November 1 at the Mack Sports Complex as Hofstra will host a Midnight Madness to bring in the basketball season.

The event is open only to Hofstra students and will feature DJ Whutevva from Power 105.1. Siddique Farooqi, the new public address announcer for Hofstra men’s and women’s basketball, will emcee the event.

New heights for LIU Post soccer

The undefeated  LIU Post men's soccer team is ranked No. 1 in the latest NSCAA Division II national poll. It is the highest ranking for the Pioneers in program history.

In its nine winners through Monday, Post has outscored its opponents 30-9. Eight have come from Eivind Austboe, who was recently sidelined with  concussion-like symptoms....

Stony Brook: What more can be said? The Seawolves (4-1) accomplished a feat several years in the making, knocking off Army, 22-3, on the road. And it wasn’t just a fluke of a win. Miguel Maysonet ran for 220 yards and two touchdowns. The Seawolves defense limited Army’s potent rushing game to 273 yards (and 4 turnovers).
