There’s an old saying that says, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight that matters; it’s the size of the fight in the dog.” That much was evident in an emotional effort by Montana State’s undersized defense in the Bobcats’ 16-10 second-round FCS playoff win over Stony Brook Saturday night in Bozeman, Mont.

Stony Brook’s nail-biting comeback for a 32-31 victory over Colgate Saturday night in front of a record LaValle Stadium crowd of 10,278 was chock full of big plays by both sides as the Seawolves took a 17-point lead, fell behind by 28-20 and then fashioned a fourth-quarter comeback for the win.
It was the kind of pulsating game that left both sides exhausted and limp even as Stony Brook’s...Read more »
After a last-second loss to Northwestern and a very respectable losing effort against USC, some called Syracuse the best 0-2 team in the country because of the prolific passing of quarterback Ryan Nassib. Playing at home in the Carrier Dome on Saturday against an FCS school like Stony Brook (2-0), the Orange should be a prohibitive favorite to get their first win.
But there’s one area where...Read more »
