Cole leaves Dowling for Iona

Dowling’s Rick Cole Jr. was named athletic director at Iona, college president Joseph E. Nyre announced.
Cole, who spent eight years as Dowling’s athletic director, was instrumental in the development of Dowling’s $12.5-million athletic complex at its Brookhaven campus.

Hofstra: The Pride (3-7) has had a rough go of it lately, particularly on offense. The Pride has failed to reach the 60-point plateau in four of its last five games.
