Notre Dame’s decision to join the ACC in all sports except football raised a lot of eye brows. The move forced the decision makers in South Bend to make some touch choices, including dropping Michigan from its schedule after 2014.

Nothing changed among the top four in the Metro Hoops poll as Manhattan maintained its hold on the top spot after a stunning comeback win against Buffalo. Former Floyd running back Stacey Bedell has transferred to Stony Brook, Stony Brook coach Chuck Priore said Saturday.
Bedell was at Massachusetts for two years and will have three years eligibility remaining.

Hofstra men's basketball will participate in the Virgin Islands' Paradise Jam in November 2015, the school announced Thursday.
It will be Hofstra's fifth time playing in a tournament outside of the continental US. The Pride played in Puerto Rico in 1997 and 2010, Hawaii (1998) and Alaska in 2006.
