It's amazing how quickly things can change. Right, Colin Kaepernick? One season, you're a dual-threat quarterback who has defenses perplexed and opposing coaches and players eating antacids like they're candy while you set records and lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl. Now, it's you who seems confused, and your offensive coaches are reaching for the Tums.

The Niners have been a shell of themselves the last two weeks and have barely scored more points (10) than turnovers (7) in consecutive losses at Seattle and last week at home vs. Indy. An NFC West road game -- on a short week -- is a tough time for a turnaround, and the numbers don't back up the Niners here. San Fran is 0-5 against the spread (ATS) in their last five divisional games, 1-5 ATS in their last six vs. the Rams, and 1-4 ATS in their last five in St. Louis. But I just can't see the 49ers losing three straight. I think they'll do just enough for a cover.

The pick: 49ers
