There didn't seem to be too much panic among the players about All Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis' absence from Day 1 of training camp. In fact, veteran right tackle Damien Woody believes it's only a matter of time before the fourth-year cornerback reports to camp.

"Do I want Darrelle here ASAP? Of course. Everyone knows how big a part he is to the football team," Woody said. "But at the end of the day, he’s not here. When he does get here, he’ll be ready to go."

I was struck by the language Woody used by saying, "when he does get here." Woody expounded on the thought:

"He’ll be here. I don’t know when he’ll be here, but he’ll be here at some point. It’s business. As players, we’re never against our fellow player. This is something he feels he needs to do. We’ll continue to do our thing and get ready for training camp. When he does come, we'll plug him in and we’ll be ready to go."
