Village Square describes itself as a "drinking and dining experience."
The order is right.
There are plenty of good brews on tap at this streamlined, new spot, where Monday night football, unlimited chicken wings and Coors Light are sure to swell the crowd. It's an upbeat joint, decorated with evocative black-and-white photos that balance the color TVs.

Hisashi Manabe, who, for over 20 years, crafted some of Long Island’s best sushi rolls, is no longer at Satsuki in Lynbrook. The restaurant is under the new ownership of Patrick Wong, who is also the sushi chef. He said that Manabe's menu remains the same, with a few additions, and that the crew from before has stayed on.

This week, Peter Gianotti reviews Vintage Restaurant Bar and Lounge, which "already is beefing up dining out where New Hyde Park and Garden City Park meet, a stretch that's ready for ciao time, too.” He especially likes the gnocchi alla Bolognese and the grilled pork chop.

A recent dinner at the new Sa Vino’s Pizzeria Restaurant Wine Bar in Lynbrook proved a lively one.
A plus, from the outset, was a waitress who was enthusiastic about both the food and wine she was serving. You'd be surprised how much that adds to an experience.
To start, I was able to substitute the restaurant’s sesame-tinged Oriental dressing for the usual balsamic dressing (please,...Read more »
