D.J. Ware has been out with a concussion since Saturday, but he said he hopes to be back on the field on Monday.

“I saw the play,” he said of the punt coverage in which Dave Tollefson flew in and drilled him upside the helmet. “It was funny.”

At the moment, when Ware was motionless on the field, it wasn’t as laugh-out-loud. Ware said he doesn’t remember if he blacked out from the hit – a pretty good indication that he might have, if you ask me – but he said he’ll be fine. He’s also not worried about this being his second concussion in nine months. He said this concussion was not as bad as that other one.

“The one from last year probably was an 8,” he said. “This one was a 2.”
