Soup kitchens to collect on mayoral bet
Five soup kitchens will soon serve up New England clam chowder, Boston Cream pies and the rest of the spoils from the Super Bowl bet Mayor Michael Bloomberg wagered with Beantown Mayor Thomas Menino.
The Giants' win also earned the charities, one in each borough, pounds of Boston-produced ice cream, pizza and even sun-dried tomato chicken sausages.
