Kenny Phillips is back. Again.

The safety who seemed to be on the verge of returning from a knee injury several weeks ago but could not make it onto the field was practicing today, the day the team returned from the bye week. That was the plan when the Giants shut Phillips down to give him the extra rest that would be afforded him with the team having a week off. Phillips should be ready to play against the Packers on Sunday night.

As for the rest of the injured players, some of them were back on the practice field today and others were not.

Among the nots, Domenik Hixon was riding a stationary bike. He suffered a high ankle sprain in the loss to the Bengals and was not practicing. Jacquian Williams, who has been sidelined by a knee injury since the 49ers game, was able to do some running on the side but for the most part he was not practicing. And Keith Rivers, who had been battling a calf injury in the weeks before the bye, was nowhere to be seen on the practice field. No word on his whereabouts.

Ahmad Bradshaw was in both worlds. He was a bystander while the team did some stretches and drills, rocking idly back and forth while watching the festivities. But there were a few times where he was participating in the drills. He was taking part in one that had players high-stepping over blocking pads, a sign that his foot, at least, is feeling better.

Hakeem Nicks was practicing fully.

Oh, and Eli Manning returned to throwing after a week without picking up a football. His arm looked well-rested, especially when he was hitting Jim Cordle in stride (what little stride Cordle has, at least).
