Bradshaw Tweets like a man who could play this week

Ahmad Bradshaw may be returning to the field.

After a day at the Hospital for Special Surgery where Tom Coughlin said Bradshaw was being evaluated with other players with hopes for “that element that when they come back they’ve been cleared to go,” Bradshaw posted this comment on his Twitter account just a little while ago:

“Great news! Thanks everyone for ur thoughts and prayers. But u dnt understand, I'm Ready to rock #bigblue #health”

I don’t know what we don’t understand – likely the nature of the injury to his neck – but judging from the tone of the Tweet and the fact that the word “health” was hastagged, well, there seems little doubt that Bradshaw received a welcome diagnosis.

Will he be back on the field on Wednesday for practice or even on Sunday against the Eagles? As Coughlin would say, we’ll see. But that seems to be the optimistic plan as of now.

“That’s what we’re looking for,” Coughlin said.

UPDATE: Bradshaw has, in fact, been cleared to return to practice and is expected to be on the field on Wednesday.
