New Orleans – John and Jim Harbaugh used to share a bedroom. On Friday they’ll share a press conference. But on Thursday they shared a practice field.

Because the Ravens wanted to move indoors and off the baseball field at Tulane where they had practiced previously, the two teams shared the Saints’ practice facility and their workouts on Thursday overlapped for about 10 minutes separated only by curtains that were hastily gathered and hung to divide the space evenly.

According to the pool practice report:

With the help of the Saints and local merchants, the NFL was able to acquire approximately 100 feet of piping drapes to block the views of both teams. The league covered up all the windows in the weight room. The brothers worked together on the arrangements while the NFL football operations staff did their best to create two separate, secure practice venues in the same site.

“Just cooperating spirits,” Jim Harbaugh said.

At Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, the Patriots and Panthers both used the Texans facility because of rain.

Jim Harbaugh had said Wednesday that he would have no problems if the Ravens ended up practicing at the same facility.

“We’re focused on what we’re doing,” he said. “I’m sure they are the same.”
