Terrell Thomas is making progress. But he still has no idea when he’ll be able to take the field with his teammates.

“I don’t think there is a timeframe,” the cornerback said today. “I think it’s just whenever the doctor gives me the ok based on how he feels, how I feel and how I progress through my rehab.”

Right now it’s still a lot more rest than rehab for Thomas, although he did manage to do some running a pool for the first time since aggravating his surgically-repaired ACL earlier in training camp.

“Good,” he said when asked how the knee felt after the submerged activity. “Progress. Taking it slow but doing everything I can in the meantime to get my knee strong and healthy again. When I’m ready to return I’ll be ready to go.”

Right now, that’s about as specific as Thomas can get about the timing of his return.
