Tom Rock has been a Newsday reporter since 1996 and began covering the Giants in 2008.
Prior to becoming the Giants beat writer, Tom covered the Jets for two seasons and was an outdoors columnist and covered high school and college sports.
He won the 2006 Long Island Press Club daily sports reporting award, was cited in the book “Best American Sportswriting of 2006,” and won second place in the Boating Writers International writing competition. Tom grew up in Levittown, is a 1991 graduate of Division Avenue High School, and a 1995 graduate of C.W. Post.
First-round pick Justin Pugh has yet to sign his contract with the Giants, but he said it will get done before the start of training camp in late July.
