T-Rock's Take on the Giants
Antrel Rolle didn’t go there. The safety said that he is not allowing himself to even imagine a loss to the Cowboys on Sunday, but he never said the words.
Jason Pierre-Paul didn’t go there either, although he came close. “I was almost going to say we’re going to win it,” he said earlier this week. “You never know.”
Today, Terrell Thomas spoke the phrase that ripples through rivalries...Read more »
The last time Steve Weatherford punted in a windy MetLife Stadium, it did not go well. That was against the Raiders two weeks ago and he had four punts that averaged 30.3 yards with a net of 30.5. With a forecast calling for cold and windy conditions Sunday, Weatherford is preparing to once again do battle with the elements. This time, though, he’ll do so largely by ignoring them.

Everybody in the Giants locker room is focused on beating Dallas. They hate Dallas. They want to crush Dallas.
What does Dallas think about that?
“I haven’t really heard anything,” he said.
That would be Dallas Reynolds, the Giants’ backup offensive lineman who was picked up earlier this season when the team was seemingly shuffling its roster a few times each week to keep up with...Read more »
Brandon Jacobs remembers the opening night game against the Cowboys very well.
“I watched the first game at my house with my wife and I and I was so angry I almost broke the TV,” he said of the six-turnover exhibition the Giants had in a 36-31 loss to the Cowboys. “It was a tough night. My in-laws were there, we all watched the game together. I didn’t take that night (well), it didn’t go over...Read more »
JPP said there will be blood on Sunday. But will there be JPP?
Probably, but it’s worth noting that the defensive end was not practicing with the Giants on Wednesday, recovering from the shoulder injury that kept him out of most of last week’s workouts. Tom Coughlin did not seem too concerned about JPP’s absence today, saying that he was just sore, but it’s something to monitor this week.

The one salvation for the Giants as they regrouped on Monday to lick the wounds of a fourth straight loss was a glance at the standings.
The Giants may stink, but so does every other team in the division. The Cowboys are on top with a 2-2 record and the Eagles and Redskins each have one victory. For all of their troubles, the Giants are only two games back.
They have an opportunity to...Read more »
Kevin Gilbride said the two interceptions on screen passes Sunday against the Cowboys were “two completely different” plays. They did have one common component, though: an inexperienced running back who made a bad adjustment.
“One was a play action screen,” the offensive coordinator said today, “and you hope that the defensive end (DeMarcus Ware) goes one way, while he ended up coming underneath....Read more »
Jerry Jones accused the Giants -- and without naming him directly, Cullen Jenkins -- of faking injuries in Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. Today, Jenkins fired back.
“I don’t know what he saw if he thinks I was faking,” Jenkins said. “Maybe he can get his son-in-law to clean his glasses a little better next time so he can see what’s going on out there.”
And Jenkins wasn’t through....Read more »
While accusing the Giants of faking injuries in the second quarter of Sunday night’s game in an effort to slow down the Cowboys’ no-huddle offense, Jerry Jones said it was “so obvious it was funny.”
Today, the NFL found it to be neither obvious nor funny.
Spokesman Greg Aiello said that the league saw “no basis at this time for taking action” against the Giants. Aiello also confirmed...Read more »
Adewale Ojomo said he knew he would be back on the active roster soon. But not because he had any inside knowledge about how the Giants would be fiddling with their 53.
“They didn’t tell me,” he said of the team’s plans. “I just had faith. That’s it.”
Ojomo, a fan favorite and the king of summertime sacks for the Giants who has posted 6.5 of them in the last two preseasons, was waived...Read more »
