Jernigan was the “Z” receiver in place of Cruz during Wednesday’s first OTA practice of the spring.
Recently, offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride...

Eli Manning said he doesn’t have a sense of when Victor Cruz may sign a new contract or his tender offer and return to the Giants’ offseason workouts. He does, however, have a hope for when that happens. And it’s coming up soon.
“We get into some real practices next week (during OTAs that begin May 22) so hopefully as we get into those live going-against-the-defense practices he’ll get back...

The man who oversaw Eli Manning’s first throws of 2013 is expecting big things from the rest of them.
David Cutliffe, Manning’s former coach at Ole Miss, watched his protégé pass to Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Louis Murphy at Duke University (where he now coaches) last week.

David Carr has not started an NFL game since 2007. He’d like to change that.

NEW ORLEANS -- When I look back on the Giants’ season, there’s one play that always sticks out to me. It was a deep post pass from Eli Manning to Hakeem Nicks in the Atlanta game at the end of the first quarter.
The Giants had fallen behind 14-0 and on a first-and-10 from the 20, Eli threw a bomb down the middle and it looked like Nicks, who had gotten behind the coverage, was going to be...

Eli Manning shut it down. He figured his season was over and there was no need to keep his throwing arm in game shape, so he’s gone the last few weeks without even lobbing a pass.
Now he’s got to get warmed up in a hurry. Manning, a second alternate, will be traveling to Hawaii next week to play in the Jan. 27 Pro Bowl. He’s replacing Aaron Rodgers, who pulled out with injuries.
“I should...

Curtis Painter made a name for himself in 2009, when he made his NFL debut against the Jets in a game in which Peyton Manning rested. Painter played poorly, the Jets won and made it to the playoffs, and eventually the Colts beat the Jets in the AFC Championship Game with Painter planted firmly on the sideline.
He also started seven games for the Colts last year after both Manning and Kerry...

The Giants finished in second place in 2012, so they can finalize who and where they'll play in 2013. The dates and times and all that fun stuff will be hammered out in April.
Just a hunch, but the Giants-Broncos game might be appealing to networks who air prime time football.
