It’s hard to get a good picture of what the Giants’ new offense will look like because we have no idea who will be playing in it. Well, we know Eli Manning and Victor Cruz will be, but beyond that there are a lot of questions.

According to Pro Football Focus, Eli Manning threw for a total of 99 yards on screen passes in 2013. Ninety-nine yards. Not even the length of a football field in 16 games (well, 15 and a half since he left the finale with an ankle injury). It was one of the more frustrating aspects of the offense, that inability to make a relatively simple play function.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Packers head coach Mike McCarthy heaped praise on new Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, but said that his system will likely be more of a reflection of Tom Coughlin than anything he picked up as a Packers assistant.

Justin Tuck spoke at today’s NFL Play 60 event at Maxson Middle School in Plainfield, NJ, about how his job description as a captain has changed this season thanks to Antrel Rolle. He said he spoke to Rolle during the offseason and asked him to be more of a vocal, rah-rah type of leader “to allow me to, when need be, go talk to guys one-on-one.”

Tom Coughlin said he hasn’t talked to Hakeem Nicks about his display of frustration during Sunday’s win over the Packers, and he sure as heck wasn’t going to talk to anyone else about it either.
“That’s something I’m not going to discuss,” the coach said on a conference call on Monday. “Those things will stay inside.”

Some Giants are feeling a little insulted that NBC has deemed them not ready for prime time players. For the first time since flex scheduling came into the league in 2006, the Giants were bumped from the Sunday night spotlight.
