T-Rock's Take on the Giants
Mike Tomlin was fined $100,000 by the NFL for getting too close to the field in last week’s Steelers game against the Ravens. In the preseason, Tom Coughlin was flagged for a 15-yard penalty for a somewhat similar infraction in the game against the Colts.
“Right now there’s such a premium on: ‘You better stay off the white! You better stay off the white!’” Coughlin said, referring to the broad...Read more »
So, who is Ryan Mundy?
Well, he played for three seasons at Michigan and one year at West Virginia after he graduated. He was drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round in 2008 and played on their practice squad team that year. In four seasons on the Steelers’ active roster he played in 64 regular-season games and started five. He has one career interception. And, if Antrel Rolle is still...Read more »
Ryan Nassib’s first steps in the NFL were backwards.
The rookie quarterback played the fourth quarter and made his debut with 13:46 remaining in last night’s preseason game against the Steelers. But before he took his first snap the Giants had already jumped offsides (Stephen Goodin was flagged for a false start). Don’t worry, touchdown dance fans, the salsa isn’t going anywhere.

So the entire team sprinted into the field house. And by 3:06 Eli Manning was dropping back in...Read more »
Justin Tuck said he was feeling better than he was yesterday. But Tom Coughlin was hoping that he’d be even further along.
“Today was not what we wanted,” Coughlin said. “He’s not quite as nimble and nifty as we had hoped. We’ll have to see, but I actually thought he would work today.”
He didn’t. Tuck missed a second straight day of practice with back tightness that flared up.
“It’s...Read more »
Ryan Mundy was yelled at by Tom Coughlin for hitting Ryan Torain in practice yesterday, giving the running back a concussion. But the free agent safety said that when he looked at the play on tape, “it wasn’t as bad as I initially thought it was.”
“He got hit from the back (by Jacquian Williams), he got bumped into me, and I think he hit the ground harder than anybody,” Mundy told Newsday...Read more »
