T-Rock's Take on the Giants
The Giants have been waiting for their offense to kick into high gear and start putting up yards and points at the rate they thought they would be when the season began.
Now, after the bye and midway through the campaign, Victor Cruz is done waiting.
“I think it’s time,” he said. “I think we understand what position we’re in, I think we understand that we’re looking at this three-game...Read more »
All things considered, Victor Cruz would rather not be in Philadelphia.
“We don’t enjoy playing there,” the Giants receiver said of the annual trip down the Turnpike. “It’s something we have to do.”
They have to do it on Sunday, returning to Lincoln Financial Field. So what makes it so terrible?
“Just the atmosphere and it’s not the best place we always want to go and play,” Cruz...Read more »
Let’s extrapolate, shall we?
The season is a quarter over, a decent sample size, so now is a good time to project how the rest of the season may play out for the Giants from a statistical point of view. Of course, not many of the numbers will be pretty. But hey, it’s the NFL.
So, here’s a chart that shows some key stats from games one through four and what they should be after 16 games....Read more »
The Giants had a good practice today.
Big deal. Congratulations. The Giants are still undefeated from Monday through Saturday.
As we’ve seen in the past few weeks, their good practices aren’t translating to the games on Sunday. And no one seems to understand why.
“We’re just not getting anything done on gameday,” Prince Amukamara said. “There’s really no secret recipe. It seems...Read more »

Now that we’ve seen how fast many of the NFL’s offenses will be operating this season, with the Broncos and Eagles setting the early pace and 12 teams getting at least 70 offensive snaps in their openers, the pressure will be on the Giants to try to keep up.
“I feel like we have a pretty good defense as well and they can do a good job of stopping the pass and stopping the run and creating...Read more »
Victor Cruz has been a star in the NFL for a few years now, but today he officially became a Point of Light.

Jason Pierre-Paul has gone from back problems to just plain old back.
The defensive end who is the Giants’ most dynamic playmaker on the defensive front will play against the Cowboys in Sunday night’s opener at AT&T Stadium. Pierre-Paul underwent back surgery this spring and was always projected to be ready for the opener, but he was coy this week even as he participated in team practices....Read more »
Tom Coughlin gave the most optimistic three words yet on the status of Victor Cruz and Jason Pierre-Paul on Wednesday: “Full speed ahead.”
And yes, the two of them were practicing with the Giants on Wednesday in the first gameplan-specific workout of the season. Coughlin admitted that they might wind up being limited on the official injury report that comes out later, but he seemed convinced...Read more »
Antrel Rolle was coy about when he might return to practice, but not what he’ll do when he does.
“You’ll see when I see,” he said. “I don’t know. Whenever I’m out there you’ll know I’m out there. I’ll make a lot of noise.”
Rolle was doing some intense agility drills and running yesterday and looked like he was on the verge of returning. It was last Monday that he sprained his ankle and...Read more »
