Brian Hartline re-ups with Miami
The Dolphins were thought to be in the market for a big-time receiver, and they still might be when the free agency signing period opens on Tuesday. But they took a major step late last night toward securing their receiving corps by re-signing Brian Hartline.
The 26-year-old receiver is coming off a career year in 2012, catching 74 passes for 1,083 yards and emerging as rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill's go-to receiver. Had the Dolphins not re-signed Hartline, he would have been an unrestricted free agent.
The five-year deal is worth $30.8 million, with about $12.5 million guaranteed, according to the Miami Herald.
