Bucs continue free agency spending splurge on Eric Wright, Carl Nicks
The Bucs said they’d spend big in free agency, and they have followed through on that promise.
Last night, they agreed to a five-year, $55.55 million deal with free agent receiver Vincent Jackson of the Chargers, and this morning, they signed two more high-profile free agents: cornerback Eric Wright and guard Carl Nicks. Both players signed five-year deals, with Wright’s contract going for $37.5 million and Nicks’ deal reaching the $47.5 million plateau.
Rookie head coach Greg Schiano, the former Rutgers coach, now has some major help for a team that lost its last 10 games last year
