The Broncos have several issues on defense, including the absence of linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who is now playing for the Ravens because of a paperwork snafu over his contract renegotiation, and the absence of linebacker Von Miller, who is serving a six-game suspension.

But at least they got some encouraging news on cornerback Champ Bailey, who has been battling foot problems. Bailey has returned to practice, per Mike Kils of the Denver Post.

Now, we'll see where Bailey plays in Thursday's opener against the Ravens at Mile High. The last time the Broncos faced Baltimore was in last year's AFC divisional playoffs, and Ravens receiver Torrey Smith did a number of Bailey.
