Newsday's Bob Glauber goes the extra yard for the inside scoop on the NFL.
David Tyree still not fully healed
The former Giants receiver, who was bothered by hamstring problems toward the end of the season and was released on the final cutdown, is still hurting.
Tyree has met with the Ravens and Rams, but has not been able to run effectively due to lingering problems associated with the hamstring injury. Tyree was out all last season because of a knee injury.
Said a source from one of the handful of teams interested in Tyree: "He can't run. He's hurt."
Tyree is 29 years old and trying to get back into a league that is obsessed with getting younger and faster. Makes you wonder whether that miracle catch in Super Bowl XLII was the final catch of his NFL career.
