A trade that would have sent cornerback Eric Wright from the Buccaneers to the 49ers has been voided after it was announced he had failed the 49ers' physical.

"He didn't pass the physical. He's not with the team," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said.

Wright was traded for a conditional choice in the 2014 draft, but because he didn't pass his physical, he now reverts to the Bucs. It's uncertain whether he'll be with the team for training camp, or whether the Bucs will simply release him.

Wright, who last year signed a $35-million free-agent contract, renegotiated his deal to a $1.5-million salary for the 2013 season after being suspended last year for violating the league's performance enhancing drug policy.
