As the Jets watch many of their unsigned free agents bolt for other teams (Shonn Greene, Yeremiah Bell and Mike DeVito, among others), they caught at least one break today when Patriots slot receiver Wes Welker decided to leave New England for Denver.
Welker signed a two-year deal worth $12 million (a relative bargain, considering he made $9 million last year under the franchise tag)....
