Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson said Wednesday he was fined for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland in Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium. Goldson didn’t say how much the fine was for, but described the amount as “pretty significant.”

Just minutes after the 49ers announced that cornerback Eric Wright, who had been traded from Tampa over the weekend, failed his physical and would not added to San Francisco's roster, the Bucs have decided to release Wright.
Per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Times, the team will place Wright on waivers on Monday.

A trade that would have sent cornerback Eric Wright from the Buccaneers to the 49ers has been voided after it was announced he had failed the 49ers' physical.
