May is the time of year when the warming sun lures everyone outdoors. May is also National Burger Month. What, then, could be more apropos than eating a burger al fresco?

Here are three places to catch a breeze and bite into a burger.

DOWNTOWN BURGER AT FIVE POINTS CAFE : Imaginatively topped burgers and fine milkshakes keep this Sayville downtowner hopping. BAY BURGER: Everything chef-owner Joe Tremblay serves is "from scratch," right down to the burger buns. Try a juicy hand-shaped burger with the works. There's also a commendable veggie burger.
