FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- There was no Bush bounty, Calvin Pace said Monday.

The Jets linebacker said his postgame comments Sunday about Dolphins running back Reggie Bush were not meant to be malicious.

"[I meant it] just in terms of hitting him and getting him out of his game mentally," Pace explained, a day after he told a small group of reporters that the Jets "had to put [Bush] out."
