The fourth overall pick in 2006, Ferguson never missed a practice or a play because of injury in 167 regular season and playoff games during his 10-year career. The left tackle also was a three-time Pro Bowler.

In a statement to the team’s website, Jets owner Woody Johnson said Ferguson “will be remembered as one of the finest players in Jets history.”
