Henderson, 28, was out of the NFL last season after he was cut by the Minnesota Vikings in February 2014 following two arrests for drunk driving in three months (the second arrest also included a charge for marijuana possession). He was suspended four games for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy and served the suspension without a team.

Henderson played six seasons with the Vikings and had 187 solo tackles.
