You can give your palate a workout while doing good for others at the 2012 Taste of Long Island fundraiser, a mega eating event to benefit the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The affair will be held at the Carltun at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow on Jan. 30.

More than 40 Long Island restaurants, caterers, wineries, breweries, bakers and confectioners will be contributing to the evening, which will also feature music. Tickets are $100 a person for general admission and $150 a person for reserved seating, which is only available to the first 100 responders.

Participating restaurants include: Mint in Garden City, The Brass Rail in Locust Valley, Morton’s The Steakhouse in Great Neck, Luce in East Norwich and LL Dent in Carle Place.

To reserve, call Nicole Vaughan at 516-465-4700 or email her at nvaughan@caddnc.org.
