WR GOLDEN TATE

Tate may be considered a No. 2 receiver, but Jets GM John Idzik has familiarity with him given his years in Seattle's front office.

QB MICHAEL VICK

Though Vick has made it clear he still wants to be a starter, he could provide classroom tutelage to Geno Smith and win games if need be.

FS JAIRUS BYRD

The Jets secondary had some glaring issues in 2013, but acquiring Byrd would be an instant upgrade. He had 22 interceptions in five seasons with Buffalo.

WR ERIC DECKER

He smartly put up career highs in a contract year. But many question whether that had more to do with having Peyton Manning as his quarterback.

TE JERMICHAEL FINLEY

Re-signing Jeff Cumberland won't deter the Jets from taking a look at other free-agent tight ends. Finley caught 223 passes for 2,785 yards and 20 touchdowns in his six seasons in Green Bay. But he also underwent spinal-fusion surgery in October.
