With Gang Green just a few days away from heading to Indianapolis to take on Peyton Manning and the Colts, the Jets released a pair of events for fans to partake in prior to the game. So, if you're looking to party with fellow Jets geeks in New York or New Jersey, here are two chances:

The event: Times Square Pep Rally

The scoop: Hosted by radio personality Michael Kay and featuring the likes of Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum, former-Jet running back Curtis Martin, and the Flight Crew (ooh, la la), Jets fans can head to Times Square Thursday, Jan. 21st at 5:30 p.m. for a giant pep rally. Expect plenty of "J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS" chants. And if you're a Jason Derulo fan, he'll be performing.

Reason to go: More "Win and We're In" towels are being given away. Hey, the slogan worked once, why not milk it?

The event: Jets team sendoff at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center

The scoop: Fans can show up at the Jets Training Center in Florham Park, N.J. at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23rd to say "peace out, Gang Green." As the Jets head out, fans will create a "special runway," according to the press release, for Mark Sanchez, Shonn Greene, James Ihedigbo (just giving the underrated defensive back some love!) and the rest of the Jets to "take off" through (that's my own pun) as they head to Indy for Sunday's AFC Championship game.

Reason to go: EVEN MORE "Win and We're In" towels.

(Well ... looks like my Cincinnati Bengals rally towel won't be fetching too much on eBay now that the Jets have flooded the market. But I'm not bitter.)

So, fans, enjoy the festivities! And be sure to post all of your pictures on Facebook and Twitter, and share them with Newsday!
