Jets, Bart Scott agree to $40 million deal
They apparently had him before the official hello.
Free agent linebacker Bart Scott arrived mid-morning Friday at the Jets facility in Florham Park, N.J., and shortly thereafter, reached a deal in principal that will bring the star linebacker to New York. Scott's contract, a source said, is a five-year deal worth $40 million.
The visit was little more than a formality.
