Bowles, an Elizabeth, New Jersey, native, was the Jets' defensive backs coach in 2000 under former coach Al Groh. And the memories of his Hofstra days are fresh in his mind.

"It's a long drive," Bowles joked. "That's where the facilities were back when I was here in 2000. That's where I went to work every day. It was nice, it was really nice."

, Nassau and Suffolk County residents won't have to worry about making a trek across multiple bridges to see their favorite team.

The "Family Night" event will feature "Jets Fest," an interactive theme park for kids with inflatable rides, music and a photo booth (beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot). New York Blood Center is holding a blood drive and will be giving away a limited amount of tickets to donors for the Jets' Week 4 preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Members of the New York Jets Flight Crew will also be on hand to pose for photo ops.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. To register or for more information, visit newyorkjets.com/camp.
