Jets rookie Sanchez performs better than Clemens
Mark Sanchez (6-for-8, 2 sacks) continued to gain momentum in the quarterback race as he outperformed Kellen Clemens (5-for-9, sack) in the 11-on-11 and seven-on-seven drills. Clemens badly misfired on a sideline route to tight end Jack Simmons and had a deep pass almost intercepted by Lito Sheppard in the end zone, Sanchez was crisp and efficient, ending his day with a laser up the middle to TE Kareem Brown for a 20-yard gain.
