OFFENSE: D

The Jets found the end zone twice on Sunday, but it was a struggle from beginning to end. Geno Smith wasn't the only culprit, but his three interceptions handcuffed the team. The offensive line did little to help the rookie quarterback, who was sacked four times for 30 yards. And aside from Santonio Holmes (two catches, 71 yards), the Jets' receiving corps struggled as a whole. Chris Ivory ran in a 1-yard score in the third quarter and Jeff Cumberland caught a 13-yard pass from Matt Simms, but that's all the offense the Jets could muster.

DEFENSE: D

WATCH: Jets vs. Bills highlights

The Jets entered the game having given up eight pass plays of 40 yards or more. Well, the arrival of Ed Reed didn't help Ryan's cornerbacks. Rookie Dee Milliner and veteran Antonio Cromartie got beaten on back-to-back plays of 42 and 43 yards, resulting in a Bills touchdown. Once again, the Jets' front seven did an excellent job stopping the run, allowing just 68 yards. But the deep ball continues to be the Achilles' heel of their secondary. The defense surrendered 245 passing yards and allowed the Bills to convert 8 of 19 (42 percent) third-down attempts.

SPECIAL TEAMS: C-

Believe it or not, Nick Folk is human. The Jets kicker badly missed a 48-yard field-goal try wide right in the first quarter -- snapping his impressive 23-for-23 streak. The Jets pinned the Bills inside the 20 just once and allowed the Bills to start, on average, from their 36. Josh Cribbs broke off a 35-yard kickoff return, but averaged just 23 on the day. Ryan Quigley averaged 41.2 yards on his six punts.

COACHING: D

The Dave & Buster's outing was a good idea -- in theory. Had the Jets put the smackdown on the Bills, Ryan would have been hailed as a genius for keeping his team fresh and energized. Instead, the Bills bullied the Jets from start to finish. Not to mention the questionable decision to have Nick Folk attempt a 48-yard field goal in winds gusting to 30 mph.
