Add Caldwell, Cohen to list of Jets GM candidates

Newsday columnist Bob Glauber mentioned Dave Caldwell last night in his list of potential candidates to fill the Jets' vacant GM job. And according to multiple outlets, the team has requested permission from the Falcons to interview Caldwell, their director of player personnel.

Considered a rising talent in NFL circles, Caldwell's name has been making the rounds. He's already been interviewed by Jaguars owner Shad Khan and is expected to speak with the San Diego Chargers.

The Jets also received permission to interview Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross and 49ers director of player personnel Tom Gamble. Assistant general manager Scott Cohen -- who has worked under Tannenbaum since 2008 -- also will be considered for the position, according to The New York Post.
