Brady: 'Losing sucks, and especially to the Jets'
Tom Brady entered Week 7 with a lower completion percentage than Geno Smith. And by the end of overtime Sunday afternoon, the future Hall of Famer had been outplayed by his rookie counterpart.
“Losing sucks, and especially to the Jets,” the Patriots quarterback said during his weekly Monday morning radio appearance on Boston’s WEEI.
Brady finished 22 of 46 for 228 yards, but he was sacked four times, threw a pick 6 and had no no offensive touchdowns.
The Patriots (5-2) are still atop the AFC East, but Brady admits he hasn’t played up to his standards.
“I’m working hard to be as consistent as I can be,” he said. “Certainly, things aren’t perfect out there, and I’ve got to do better. When you’re 5-2 and you struggle on offense, obviously I’m not doing a good enough job. I’m going to try to get it done. I’m going to try to go out there and play the best I can, work harder than I’ve worked all season to go out there and try to do that. Whatever extra I need to do, that’s what I’m prepared to do.
“Nobody feels worse about the loss than me.”
