Tampa Bay remains the anticipated landing spot for Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, but on Wednesday the Bucs front office steered clear of discussing any trade rumors involving the three-time All-Pro cornerback.

In an interview on Sirius XM radio, general manager Mark Dominik said he's not even sure if Revis is on the market. “I don’t know if he really is, honestly,” Dominik said. ”That is a tough question for me to answer. You have to get John Idzik on here and grill him about that.”

During an interview with a handful of reporters at the owners meetings in Phoenix, Bucs coach Greg Schiano joked that he wasn't even allowed to say Revis' name, less it be considered tampering.

The Bucs have made a concerted effort this offseason to improve their woeful pass defense, signing former 49ers safety DaShon Goldson. Reports indicate they're eyeing other cornerback acquisitions, including former Falcon Brent Grimes.

Schiano, however, wouldn't confirm that their plans for the secondary involve Revis.

"Well, if it does or doesn't, I can't comment on guys under contract with another team," he said. ...When you're dealing with a salary cap, you not only have to plan for a year or two, but you have to plan for four or five years down the road.

"We have a lot of quality young players in our programs that eventually we're going to want to re-sign, so we have to make sure that we plan prudently."
