Smith threw for 233 passing yards, rushed for 32 and had two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) in the Jets' 30-27 overtime victory against New England. Packers’ Eddie Lacy, Redskin’s Jordan Reed, Nickell Robey of the Bills and Chargers’ D.J. Fluker also were nominated.

Smith also nominated for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of Week 7, along with Mario Williams and Roy Helu, Jr.

Jets running back Chris Ivory was nominated for the Fed Ex Ground Player of the Week award after rushing for career-highs in rushing yards (104) and carries (34). Marshawn Lynch of the Seahawks and Chargers' Ryan Matthews are also in the running.
