Jeremy Kerley appeared to be pleading his case on the field hours before kickoff. But the slot receiver didn't get his way.

Kerley -- who dislocated his left elbow two weeks ago -- is one of seven inactive players for Sunday's must-win game against the Dolphins. Here's the good news for the Jets: Santonio Holmes and Antonio Cromartie will both play.

On Friday, Rex Ryan said he was "concerned" Holmes might not play because of a nagging hamstring injury. The Jets coach also was uncertain about the status of Cromartie, who has been dealing with a hip injury all season.

All three were game-time decisions and monitored closely by the training staff and general manager John Idzik before the game.

Here's the full list of inactives for the Jets: Jeremy Kerley, David Garrard, Garrett McIntyre, Will Campbell, Ben Ijalana, Oday Aboushi and Chris Pantale.

For the Dolphins, QB Pat Devlin, CBs Jamar Taylor and Dmitri Patterson, RB Daniel Thomas, G Danny Watkins, OL David Arkin and A.J. Francis are inactive.
