The Jets announced they have invited three veteran free agents to next week’s three-day minicamp: tight end Kellen Winslow, wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker and defensive lineman Leger Douzable

The team also has invited undrafted rookies, tackle Mark Jackson and cornerback Mason Robinson to tryout for minicamp.

Winslow, 29, was the sixth overall pick in 2004 and spent his first four years in the league in Cleveland. He caught 82 passes for 1,106 receiving yards and five touchdowns with the Browns in 2007. Over the next three seasons in Tampa Bay (2009-11), Winslow recorded 2,377 receiving yards. But he played in just one game (1 catch, 12 yards) for the New England Patriots last season.

Winslow – who’ll join fellow tight ends Jeff Cumberland, Konrad Reuland and Hayden Smith -- has 438 receptions and 4,848 total receiving yards in his eight-year career.

Sims-Walker, a third-round pick in the 2008 draft, spent the bulk of his career in Jacksonville and has 134 total catches for 1798 yards and 14 touchdowns. The 28-year-old last played in 2011. Douzable, 27, has played for several teams over his five-year career, including a brief stint with the Giants in 2008. He has played both defensive end and tackle in the past and has one career sack.
