Linebacker Bart Scott’s stubborn turf toe injury, which resulted in the end of his 119-consecutive game streak when he sat out against Miami before the bye week, is hanging on stubbornly. Scott, defensive end Kenrick Ellis (knee) and running back Joe McKnight (ankle) are not expected to practice Wednesday afternoon, head coach Rex Ryan announced at his daily media briefing.

McKnight tried to play in the Miami game and reinjured his ankle early on and was forced to sit out the remainder of the game. Here is the rest of the Jets’ injury list heading into practice: Limited practice – RG Brandon Moore (hip), C Nick Mangold (ankle), S Eric Smith (knee), RB Bilal Powell (shoulder), TE Jeff Cumberland (wrist), DT Sione Po’uha (low back). Practicing full – S LaRon Landry (heel), QB Mark Sanchez (low back), LG Matt Slauson (knee), LB Calvin Pace (shin) and DT Mike DeVito (finger).

Ryan said he planned to crank up the speakers loud enough “to make us miserable” when his offense is practicing to simulate the atmosphere at CentruyLink Field. But he’s looking forward to some quiet spells when his defense practices.
