According to Tony Pauline of, the Jets have scheduled an official visit with Oregon defensive end/outside linebacker Dion Jordan (6-6, 248).

Nine teams have scheduled visits with him, according to’s Gil Brandt, including the Chiefs, Jaguars, Browns and Cardinals (per Pauline).

Jordan, one of the top defensive players in this year’s draft class, underwent labrum surgery the week after the NFL Scouting Combine. In Indy, he ran a 4.6 40-yard dash.

Pass-rush specialist Antwan Barnes signed a three-year, $4 million deal with the Jets Monday. But Jordan would be an extremely big addition. The former Oregon stud recorded 14.5 sacks and four forced fumbles during his three-year career.

Several mock drafts have Jordan going anywhere from pick No. 4 (Eagles) to No. 10 (Titans), but the Chiefs and Jaguars, respectively, have the first two selections.

According to Brandt, the Chiefs' visit with Jordan lasted two hours.
