Jets center Nick Mangold opted not to travel to London to watch his sister, Holly, compete in the Olympic weightlifting competition, but he does plan to watch on TV or the Internet Sunday - a day off for the team - when she sees her first action.

"We'll get there," he said after practice Monday. "That's not until Aug. 5, so we still have a lot of hitting to do in between here and there."

Nick said he has not spoken to Holly yet. "No, it's a five-hour difference. It makes things a little difficult when we don't get done around here until 9:30. It's 3 in the morning [in London]. I'm not going to mess her up. I'm leaving her be.

"She's having a great time. I talked to my mom, and things are going smoothly over there."

Mangold said of the first two days of full-pad practices, "It feels good to be out there banging heads." He endorsed the new emphasis on a "ground-and-pound" attack, saying, "It's awesome. It's a fantastic idea. But in the end I want to win games, so whatever it's going to take, whether we run the ball or throw the ball, I don't care."

What is his impression of the quarterbacks so far in camp? "Shoot, I have no idea," he said. "They're behind me. I can tell you what's in front of me, but behind me I have no idea."
