A team spokesman said Brandon Moore underwent "a minor procedure" that was previously scheduled. The Jets right guard will resting this week and return to practice next week. ...Joe McKnight was excused from practice for personal reasons, according to the team.
Starting Tuesday, media access to practice is limited to 30 minutes. So here's what I noticed during our brief time in the sun...
The rehab area again was flooded with bodies today: TE Dustin Keller (hamstring), LB Ricky Sapp (high ankle sprain), NT Sione Po'uha (back), DT Mike DeVito (calf), CB Ellis Lankster (quad), LB David Harris (ankle), S Eric Smith (hip/knee), WR Chaz Schilens (high ankle sprain), S LaRon Landry (Achilles/foot) and S Yeremiah Bell (knee) all sat out the beginning stages of practice. Some guys did agility drills, while others pedaled on the stationary bike.
At one point, Lankster left the rehab area and jogged onto the field. But there's no telling if any of the injured players will participate in any portion of practice.
RG Brandon Moore and RB Joe McKnight were not spotted during the 30-minute portion allotted for media. No word yet on why.
TE Jeff Cumberland (concussion) and LB Nick Bellore (shoulder) wore red non-contact pinnies.
Newly acquired RT Jason Smith was not on the field. He is here at the facility taking his physicals, Rex Ryan said this morning.
