The Jets have hired former Bills quarterbacks coach David Lee to replace Matt Cavanaugh, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Lee served in the same capacity last season with the Bills, and in 2011 was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Mississippi.

But he's best known for the reintroducing the Wildcat in the NFL. He was the quarterbacks coach for the Dolphins from 2008-2010, back when Tony Sparano was the head coach.

Chad Pennington and Chad Henne were under Lee's tutelage during their stints in Miami.
